After installation

Give it time.

Let your new tint settle. Small habits make aftercare easier.

Keep the windows up3–4days
  1. FIRST 3–4 DAYS

    Protect the edges

Windows up. No pressurized water around the glass.

  2. FIRST MONTH

    Let the tint cure

Keep accessories off the glass while the film settles.

  3. WHEN REMOUNTING

    Mind the dot matrix

Keep dashcam adhesive away from the dotted glass edge.

01 / FIRST 3–4 DAYS

Let the bond form.

Keep windows up

Do not roll them down while the edges bond. This helps prevent peeling and folding.

Avoid pressurized water

Keep pressure away from the glass and weather strips to prevent seepage. Rain exposure is acceptable.

Follow the climate settings

The X-Films guide advises no front or rear defogger during this period, with the fan on level 1–2 (3–4 for weak fans). Always maintain a clear view; if the glass fogs, stop safely and clear it before driving.

02 / CURING & EVERYDAY CARE

Settle into your new tint.

Give bubbles time

Water bubbles can fade as the tint cures during the first month. Contact your installer about concerns; do not press or try to fix them yourself.

Keep the glass free

Do not attach accessories or adhesive mounts to the windows during curing.

Remount with care

When reinstalling a dashcam, keep the adhesive away from the dot matrix area to avoid lifting the tint.

Expect changing light

Shade appearance varies with glass angle and surrounding light. Even super-dark shades can be seen through in some conditions. A tinted vehicle can still become hot when parked in the sun.

Keep your warranty details

The aftercare sheet lists Elite: 12 years and Premium: 5 years for fading and discoloration. Crystalline has a 12-year product warranty. Confirm the full terms for your selected series with your installer.

Raise workmanship concerns

The guide lists 30-day workmanship coverage for peeling, residue and dirt. Replacement depends on the installer’s inspection and investigation.
