Prepare your vehicle.
3–5 daysPlan your installation visit
- Wash your vehicle. A clean surface helps the installer identify existing damage and paint imperfections.
- Inspect the paintwork. Note scratches, dents and other imperfections before your appointment.
- Remove personal items. Clear the interior before leaving your vehicle with the shop.
- Plan for 3–5 days. Arrange transport and parking with your installer. The guide asks you to leave your vehicle at the shop for installation and proper curing; confirm the collection date.
- Discuss paint correction. Existing coatings, waxes and sealants will be removed during preparation.
- Declare repainted panels. X-Films requires recently repainted panels to be fully cured for at least 3 months before installation.
Let the film settle.
After 3 daysWashing is allowed
- Washing is allowed after 3 days. Give the adhesive time to bond before the first wash.
- Skip high-pressure and automatic washes. High-pressure water and rollers may lift the film’s edges.
- Do not use wax or polish. Follow the installer’s aftercare instructions while the film bonds.
- Park with care. Avoid trees and dusty areas to limit contaminants settling on the film.
- Leave the edges alone. Do not touch or peel them while they are bonding.
- Book an inspection after 2 weeks. Contact your installer to check adhesion, address lifting edges or bubbles, and make any necessary adjustments.

AFTER THE INSTALLATION
Understand
your coverage.
Product warranty, shop benefits and maintenance have different terms. Here’s what to review with your installer.
Protect: 3 years from release. Preserve+ and Colored PPF: 5 years from installation. Radiance: 7 years from release.
Covers bubbling, yellowing and significant peeling caused by manufacturing flaws. Excludes improper maintenance or abrasive cleaning, aftermarket chemicals, normal wear and tear (including edge lifting from daily use or external factors), scratches, dents, chips and impact damage.
Claims require the original purchase receipt, supporting documents and inspection by the primary installer or an authorized delegate. Coverage may be prorated. The provider determines repair or replacement of the affected film; remedies are services, not cash compensation. The warranty is tied to the original buyer and vehicle and is non-transferable.
