Clear, colored, gloss or matte: choose your PPF look.

A few questions to help you choose a finish and compare installation quotations.

Start with the look you want to keep or change

Do you want the original paint color to remain visible, or are you exploring a new color? The X-Films PPF range includes clear and colored options, with gloss and matte finishes. Tell the installer which part of the appearance matters most to you before comparing packages.

See the actual finish

Use the website and our colored PPF Short for inspiration, then ask the shop for samples of the finish you are considering. Confirm the exact color or finish name and current availability. A phone screen and a video are useful references, but the final choice should be based on the actual product.

Be specific about the coverage

Ask the quotation to identify which panels are included. Discuss edges, trims and the preparation needed for your vehicle so you know what the finished installation includes. Two quotations are easier to compare when the film model, finish and covered areas are written down.

Talk about the paint underneath

Tell the shop about repainted panels, existing coatings, waxes, scratches or dents. The X-Films preparation guide calls for an inspection and says recently repainted panels must be fully cured for at least three months before installation. Have the installer assess your vehicle before setting the appointment.

Match the finish with a care plan

Request the written warranty and aftercare instructions for your selected product. Confirm the installation and collection dates, the two-week inspection and the maintenance arrangements. Choose a look you like with a clear understanding of how to care for it after collection.
